Dr. Ryan Stookey
Dr. Ryan Stookey was born and raised in western Pennsylvania and graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. In 2008, he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the world renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic. After graduation, he spent five years practicing in the Blue Ridge Mountains but he and his wife heard the siren song of the Gulf and couldn’t pass the opportunity to relocate to the Nature Coast in the summer of 2014.
Dr. Stookey found his calling as a doctor of chiropractic after experiencing firsthand the benefits that chiropractic care provided. Initially, as a teenager, he enjoyed great improvement and control of his asthma. This afforded him the opportunity to participate at a high level in all the athletic endeavors he loved. He always possessed an interest in the health care yet it wasn’t until midway through his undergraduate studies that he made the decision to pursue training as a chiropractic physician. This came about as direct inspiration from his treating chiropractic doctor and the great results achieved in his health. The concept of facilitating the health of others – without drugs or surgery – continues to motivate and inspire his practice today.
Dr. Stookey’s post-graduate training is in Injury Prevention, Performance Enhancement and Corrective Rehabilitation. He has undergone extensive training for correction of disorders involving both the upper and lower extremities. He is also a Certified Athletic Trainer and completed his Performance Enhancement Specialist certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, which has led to him working with amazing athletes of all ages throughout his career.
Dr. Stookey can be found with his wife Desiree on the beach, listening to music, exercising, golfing and exploring all that the great outdoors of the Gulf Coast has to offer.
Dr. Christopher King
Dr. King is pursuing his passion and love for chiropractic care as a testimony of how it has impacted his life since he was a child. After being in a car accident, Dr. King not only endured the painful physical symptoms that come with an accident, but also experienced progressive digestive disorders in the months following. Care with his family medical doctor and GI consults could not ease his persistent suffering.
Fortunately, Dr. King was introduced to a chiropractic physician and experienced more than just relief from post-traumatic spinal pain…his digestive spasms and gastric difficulties were resolved as well. Dr. King’s future trajectory was discovered!
Dr. King, born into a military family, moved frequently and was exposed to various chiropractic specialties.
